I stepped outside early this morning to get some gardening done ahead of the heat. I’m fairly sure I heard a YBCU in the wet wooded area directly in back of our yard, but I never saw the bird and by the time I went inside and got Merlin going, it was no longer making noise. I looked on ebird and there have been a few sightings recently, though none close to here. Has anyone else seen or heard this species in Underhill or Jericho recently?
