I've shared here before that the National Loon Center is continuing resighting work in southern MN lakes where a "Restore the Call" project translocated young loons about 10 years ago in efforts to restore the southern MN loon population. We are also conducting surveys in Itasca County near the source lakes and have a field technician based here.
We are wondering if any MOU members live on or near any of the lakes below, with access to motorized boats for the larger lakes, that would be willing to assist with the surveys in the upcoming weeks:
