Subject: Butler County Breeding Bird Survey
Hi,

I did my breeding bird survey in Butler County this morning. This is the once a year survey route for the U.S. Geological Survey that many birders run in June. My route runs north to south along the eastern part of Butler County from Chicora to Sarver.

Highlights include Common Ravens for the second year in a row. Last year was the first I found them on the route, I believe. I saw them at two of the stops today. I had one Blue-headed Vireo which I don't get every year. Willow Flycatchers were at the usual stops. Warblers included Ovenbirds, Blue-winged, American Redstart and Chestnut-sided and of course Northern Yellow and Common Yellowthroat. I missed Black-and-white and Hooded this year.

Sadly I found a road killed Eastern Screech Owl at one my stops.
