Hi all, Just wanted to send a reminder about my upcoming June pelagic and Saturday, 13 June. Been some interesting birds as of late with the recent Noyo pelagic having a Nazca Booby, a Least Tern and a "black" storm-petrel (which was probably something better). There's still a lot of Murphy's Petrels around, too, and the 25 May pelagic had at least SIX different Laysan Albatrosses and a few Fork-tailed Storm-Petrels in the mix, too. Lot's of Black-footeds around now too (which is typical) so the chance for that pink-billed bigger one is still possible, too. The typical price of $165 per person and $135/student still holds.
Leaders will be Logan Kahle and Caitlyn Chock but a lot of past spotters are also signed up for the boat like Aidan Brubaker, Lucas Stephenson, and Emmett Iverson so a lot of potential for spotting something good!
Also, it's very worth noting that you can make it a full pelagic weekend with doing the Humboldt trip on Saturday with us and then heading down to Fort Bragg and get on the Noyo pelagics Sunday trip: https://noyopelagics.com/
June is the most unexplored month for pelagics in Northern California so come and join us on this opportunity to add more knowledge to June seabirding off of Humboldt with some great birders on board and endless possibilities for something great showing up!
