It seems important to mention that the bird was banded, and has a flag. This may help you figure out where it is from. Any good photos with the band number or partial numbers? Also it may make it easier for people to pick out the bird on the beach.



Good luck tracking it down, this could be a superbly special recovery of a banded bird.

Subject: [CALBIRDS] Eurasian (Siberian) Whimbrel at Pt. St George (Del Norte County)



Yesterday, around 3:50 PM, I found a banded Eurasian (Siberian) Whimbrel at Pt. St. George in Crescent City. Today, it continues along the beach 2 miles to the north at the following coordinates: (41.8102980, -124.2340294).
