Subject: [birders] Hummingbird flight?
Do they ever “glide” or are they considered to always be under “powered flight”? I ask only because (probably due to lighting), I think I just saw a Ruby-throat move about 20 feet forward and stay at the same height before perching on a garden fence. Yes…it looked very strange.
