I am wondering if anyone has seen Long-eared Owls (LEOW) in the North Bay counties of Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino? I work at a rescue center and we got a baby LEOW last week when someone was caught selling them. When we get raptor babies at our center, we always try to "renest" them back to their parents, but obviously we can't do that for them. I am hoping someone has seen LEOWs in the area or greater area so we can potentially use the adults as foster parents. The person selling them was in Potter Valley. Any info would be helpful!
