Ron and all,
Rant ON! While this group understands (I hope) the seriousness of the
building/window collisions and other things that affect migratory species,
it is also our responsibility to get the word out, not just to city
building owners, but homeowners, school boards and college/university
boards, small (and corporate) business owners AND architects, builders, and
I am sure many more. It may not be easy as some of the above-mentioned
groups never respond to emails or phone calls IF the right person to
contact can even be found. Letters to editors or a guest article
contributor to local newspapers can help, social media is a great way as
well since these media posts can hit a range of demographics. I am sure
someone has had luck with spreading the word. Perhaps others can respond
with thoughts, ideas and action items.
