Subject: [ia-bird] NW Humboldt County (Spotted Towhee)
Last couple of weeks have been active in NW Humboldt County. Big pushes of
Harris's, White-throated and White-crowned Sparrows have given way to
neotropicals. Currently seeing big push of Rose-breasted Grosbeak; as well
as a few warblers, Chestnut-sided seems to be the best I've had so far. A
single Indigo Bunting was bopping around in Ottosen. And I've been hearing
Dickcissels out in the country.

Primary good find was what appears to be a Spotted Towhee found today
(5/16), in a private woodlot in NW Humboldt County. Best photo I could get
after spending a healthy chunk of an hour to get it to pop up again before
it darted off into the shrubbery.
