Sue and I have finally managed some more time out catching up here after some travels.
Today's walk in Webster Park finally resulted in some fun with the Barred owls there and a number of singing Winter Wrens. Fun to get out even late AM when the sun is out and there is some activity.

0.25 mile(s)
Checklist Comments: Sue and I were out mainly for a walk from the start of the RV loop to the flag pole area with picnic table for a sit half way. Distance is one way, though new birds added on the walk back to the car. At the table in flag pole are, I did some Barred Owl imitation. Upset birds in woods to SE indicated owl approach, but only after long quiet period, one started to call right above us, then two others called back to NE and NW of us. On way back to car one flew over the road and sat where we could see it. The calls plus other spishing did stir up at least a few birds. Generally pretty quiet.
26 species
Barred Owl 3 See trip notes. Called in one, and when it started to call, two more called back from different direction NE and NW of us and the initial bird. All calling at one time. Not a big surprise; they have nested here for years.
