Subject: [Ohio-birds] Blacklick metro park, Woodside green Park
Blacklick
Ovenbirds one landed on a limb next to the trail, then another landed on a slightly lower limb across the trail. Then the 1st one decided he was being crowded and chased the 2nd one. Then, for good measure he also chased a chickadee.
Yellow throated warbler
Canada warbler
American redstarts, lot more females than males
Black throated blue warbler, female
Chestnut sided warblers, male and female
Black and white warblers, male and female
Nashville warbler
Bay breasted warblers, male and female
Magnolia warblers
Black throated green warbler
Northern parulas, male and female
Northern waterthrush, heard
Hooded warblers, male and female. Male called once, but female chipped fairly constantly, with the two of them only 4-6 feet apart at one point. All the while, a red tailed hawk was perched above them. Couldn’t tell if he was watching like me.
Blackburnian warbler, heard
Red eyed vireos
Eastern wood pewee
Eastern Phoebe family, four young bunched together on a limb in the picnic area.
Summer tanager, male and female
Swainson’s thrush
Wood thrush

Woodside Green, Gahanna 2:30 - 4 pm
Bay breasted warblers, male and female
Magnolia. Warblers
Chestnut sided warblers
American redstarts
Black and white warblers
Blackburnian warbler
Northern parula
Ovenbird, heard
Red eyed vireo
Pileated woodpecker
Cedar waxwings
