My scope and tripod were recently stolen. A very kind and generous friend has loaned me a scope to use temporarily, so I am not under immediate pressure to replace them, but I don't want to push it. Before I plunk down retail price for a new mid price-range scope, I am interested in checking whether a good condition, used, higher end scope might be a reasonably priced possibility.
