Weather: In the morning the temps started in the upper 40s, winds were from the NW, and the skies were clear. Temps reached a high of 51F, the winds were somewhat strong out of the NW all day, and the sky was very blue making viewing birds difficult.
Raptor Observations: A total of 390 raptors passed overhead today. Broad-winged Hawks (275), Turkey Vultures (64), and Sharp-shinned Hawks (24) were the majority of the flight. A handful of other birds were mixed in, including some Bald Eagles, Red-tailed Hawks, and Ospreys.
Non-raptor Observations: In the morning, there were a good number of Caspian Terns, Common Terns and gulls flying over the barrier Island and the mouth of the bay.
