This lovely park is in the city of Newton. I birded there from 12:30-4:50. That is when the downpours occured. Water seeped through all three layers of my clothes, to my skin.
Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Hairy Woodpecker 1 House Wren 1 Gray Catbird 8 Yellow-rumped Warbler 6 Black and White Warbler 1+ Northern Parula 2 Black-throated Green Warbler 1 Pine Warbler 2 nest here annually Common Yellowthroat 1 nest here annually Magnolia Warbler 1 Nashville Warbler 1 INDIGO BUNTING 3 together in swamp an ad. and imm. male, and a female. Singing sweetly Rose-breasted Grosbeak 3 Baltimore Oriole 1+ Orchard Oriole 1 imm. male singing ever so sweetly LARGE-FLOWERED TRILLIUM; absolutely gorgeous; naturallly occurring here?
