Weather: Low hanging, thick, dark clouds for the first couple of hours but the sky eventually brightened to blue skies and plenty of sunshine. Temps stayed between 55F and 60. The winds were favorable between 9 and 14mph and predominantly from the SW.
Raptor Observations: It was a very slow beginning with a very modest ending. In all, 81 migrating raptors flew over, Broad-wings leading at 49, Turkey Vultures numbered 20, 5 Bald Eagles, 4 sharpies, 1 coop, and 2 Red-tails. Locals included a pair of adult Bald Eagles, a few Turkey Vultures, a pair of Red-tails, a kestrel, and a coop.
Predictions: Mother's Day looks pleasant: 57F, dry, and mild winds from the West.<br>
