Subject: Thrushes in Serviceberry - Backyard
The last three afternoons i have parked myself near the largest serviceberry tree on the property and I’ve been rewarded with an abundance of brown thrushes.
Wood, Veery, and Swainsons have been decourimg a very large crop of berries this week. I’ve got four Swainsons currently and had two Veery yesterday but only one now. One Wood Thrush is also joined by a female Black-throated Blue Warbler and a gorgeous male Scarlet Tanager. Two Catbirds and 16 waxwings have me busy sorting through everything.
The Swainsons are constantly singing which is beautiful. No Gray-cheeked Thrush but I’m trying. Loads of activity and a bunch of fun with the thrushes.
