Weather: Rain overnight lasted until around 9:30am. It became mostly sunny with some scattered puffy clouds. Temps ranged from 46F to 53F. Winds started off as NW, but the lake breeze started up around 1pm shifting the wind to NE.
Raptor Observations: Today was another very high flight with birds literally popping in and out of clouds. There were a total of 282 raptors today. Most were Broad-winged Hawks with some Turkey Vultures and Bald Eagles mixed in. While scoping Broad-wings going in and out of the clouds I would come across Sharp-shinned Hawks so high they were only visible with the scope! Makes me wonder how many were actually up there
Non-raptor Observations: There were a minimum of 15 White-crowned Sparrows feeding at the seed! Bobolinks and Eastern Meadowlarks were singing all morning. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
