Subject: Yellow-throated Warbler in Riley County
This morning I had a Yellow-throated Warbler at my house on the west side of Tuttle Creek Lake. Merlin actually reported one singing yesterday, but I didn't believe it. This morning I was able to confirm it. I believe Chuck Otte recently commented on the increasing number of occurrences in this part of Kansas. This record provides more evidence of that trend. Also, yesterday I photographed a Kentucky Warbler in my yard. They are rather uncommon around here too. --Ted
