Subject: [Ohio-birds] Birding
Failing badly on my goal of exploring new areas in Hamilton county this year!
Was going to explore some spots this afternoon, but got the alert for the white faced
Ibis in butler county. Off I go! And got the alert for a black crowned night heron at
Armleder this morning. Phew…. Spring! Found by a young birding couple. Drew and
Sammy. At the rate they are going, they will break big year records! I wish them well!

My nicely planned day was shot to hell from the get go! The night heron has stuck around
For a lot of birders to see! Yea!

My highlights were a Canada Warbler. Yea! Finally. A Hamilton bird for me! And I finally
Tracked down a blue winged warbler at Shawnee Lookout. I know where they breed.
Did some pishing. Yea! Took awhile…..I was thinking it was pointless for me to try for
A golden winged at that time of day. And then the alert comes in for the ibis!

I am not getting much in the way of shorebirds here. Sigh…… the fall will hopefully be
Better.

Sat will see me in Kentucky in the morning. And then helping a friend with the Hamilton
Lark sparrows in the afternoon.

No odes today…………..

Good birding all.
