Had Orioles in the treetops yesterday afternoon but none at the jelly feeder yet. Also…I guess I’m still a “Warbler Newby” but just had excellent views of a Palm Warbler a few minutes ago. It was foraging on the ground under a window and doing the “tail bob”. My first impression was “What the heck kind of bird looks like a Chipping Sparrow but has patches of yellow?” I thought it was a hybrid between a Goldfinch and a Chipping Sparrow until I “google lensed” the photo I wife got.
