I always scan the skies and keep my ears peeled for swifts in early May and tonight, I heard the telltale chittering and found them circling over Derry! Last year I saw them at the end of April but other years, my first sightings have been in this week.
I wonder if they have enough chimneys these days. So many people have capped theirs.
