Morning bird songs had my attention as soon as I woke up. I heard my first Black-Headed Grosbeak, right on time in early May. Then I heard a Wilson's warbler and purple martins overhead. Just now a Western Tanager, singing and fly catching close by in a big cherry tree. What a delight.
