Observation start time: 08:00:00 Observation end time: 15:00:00 Total observation time: 7 hours
Official Counter: Andy Dickson
Observers: Mike Ceci
Weather: Cloudless skies all day with a few contrails. Early SSW wind inland with SW at lake shore until mid-day, then winds moving to W. Pleasant temperatures.
Raptor Observations: Surprisingly few raptors given the ideal flight conditions. Just as surprisingly was relatively robust TV count. Very difficult cloudless skies with many raptors making first appearance directly overhead, not sure if we spotted all the birds. Early UB may been an immature RL, was not an osprey.
Non-raptor Observations: Blue jays by the hundreds.
Predictions: Rain over night. Early SW winds moving to W, rain in the afternoon. Maybe a flight ahead of the afternoon front if there are birds in the pipeline, but today's count would suggest the migration may be winding down. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Andrew J.
