For those wishing to celebrate Global Big Day by attending a bird walk, I will be leading a public bird walk on the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve this Saturday, May 9. The walk begins at 8:30AM, and leaves from the Visitor Center at 39400 Clinton Keith Road in Murrieta. There is a $6 day use fee to use the Reserve, including attending the walk. We will be looking for resident breeders and spring migrants as we walk on easy trails through oak woodlands, chaparral and riparian areas. The walk should last around 2 -1/2 hours and cover approximately 1.5 miles.
