Observation start time: 09:15:00 Observation end time: 13:45:00 Total observation time: 4.25 hours
Official Counter: Joe Fell
Observers: Joe Sullivan
Visitors: Joe Sullivan braved the windy conditions for the latter portion of the day.
Weather: Cool, windy, and cloudy.
Raptor Observations: Both the numbers and species diversity were low today. The majority of the birds seen were very high, some being viewable with a scope only.
There was one very interesting bird that resembled a Black vulture in form and flight style, but did not provide great looks. It appeared to have a lighter back and darker underside. I do not think the lighter back was due to lighting, but I cannot say the same for the darker underside.
Non-raptor Observations: A variety of expected migrants, with 13 Chimney Swifts fighting the wind being my favorite.
Predictions: The weather for tomorrow looks a bit milder, but still a bit breezy, and will hopefully have a better flight. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Joseph Fell (<jfell2000...>)
