Thanks to a tip from David and Linda Blue, I got to see the Grasshopper Sparrow currently on Farren Road this morning. They had it in the grassy field next to the big eucalyptus trees near the parking area. I worked to road from where Adrian first reported it back to that point and on my second try, it came in low in the weeds; then hopped up on the big while branch lying in the field and started to sing. In this general vicinity, I had several Lark Sparrows and a gorgeous Blue Grosbeak.
However, my first stop this morning was to check out the Harbor breakwater, where I found the reported Wandering Tattler and the end of the breakwater, next to the resting Brandt's Cormorants. There were 3 immature Red-throated Loons hanging around in side the yacht basin, plus the continuing adult was seen just west of Stearn's Wharf.
I then tried for the Yellow-headed Blackbirds that Nick L. found at Areas K, L, & M but I struck out there. I did find 3 (non-breeding plumaged) Bonaparte's Gulls paddling around with the ducks.
