Observation end time: 13:30:00
Total observation time: 4.5 hours
Official Counter: Don Dixon
Observers: Jim Landau
Visitors:
Jim Landau stopped by to see how the count was going and chat. He was my
only visitor.
Weather:
Majority of the day was sunny with partial clouds. Temperatures were in the
lows 40s F. Light winds to start the count with wind picking up towards the
end. Winds stayed out of the West for the entirety of the Count.
Raptor Observations:
Light movement of turkey vultures mixed in with a few red tails, a couple
broad wings and a pair of bald eagles.
Non-raptor Observations:
I had a pair of Red-headed Woodpeckers in the new section Oaks at
Lakeside. Two Double Crested Cormorants were in the pond. Normal bird
activity throughout with the signing of American Robins dominated the sound
waves.
Predictions:
High of 54 F for Sunday with WSW to SW winds. Hopefully thatll prove for
a better flight.
