Weather:
Today was windy and cold with temps starting at 39F and reaching a high of
46F. Winds started out as west and shifted to NW at 15-25mph. Partly cloudy
skies in the morning cleared to mostly sunny midday, then clouded back up
in the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Today�s raptor numbers are similar to yesterday�s, with 118 Turkey
Vultures, 44 Broad-winged Hawks, and 28 Sharp-shinned Hawks. The majority
of the birds were very high and when the clouds cleared midday, it was
almost impossible to see anything in the blue sky.
Non-raptor Observations:
The single Wild Turkey was wandering around the park again today! It kept
running across the road and running between hedge rows providing some
excellent entertainment.
