Subject: [CT Birds] A Fall-out Day! Thrushes and warblers in my garden!
Noisy between 7:30 and 8 this morning - 22 species from my house including new arrivals veery, wood thrush, American redstart and chestnut-sided warblers.  Later I added another 11 species including FOY ovenbird, worm-eating warbler and black-throated green warbler.  33 species in my garden!  The wood thrush started out very tenuously, sort of clearly his throat before bursting into the classic song - such joy to hear!  The last time I saw a worm-eating warbler in my garden was a few years ago - feeding a baby cowbird - though I doubt it nested in the woods here.
