Subject: [ia-bird] Hooded Warbler Council Bluffs
I had a surprise Hooded Warbler sighting at the Smith Wildlife Management
Area north of Council Bluffs this morning. Just off the main trail about
75 yards after the crest of the hill. An unmistakable male, also singing.

Only 3 warbler species total: Abundant Yellow-Rumped and one Black and
White.
1 Yellow-throated Vireo
1 Warbling Vireo
4 Carolina Wrens
4+ Gnatcatchers
1 fledgling Great Horned Owl
3 Harris' Sparrows
1 Lincoln's Sparrow
