Hi Marc,

I just listened to Bell's Vireo, and I think you may have nailed it.
It sounds the same to me.
There are about 200 sightings of Bell's in NJ, so uncommon but not rare.

I'm not surprised by a frequency shift.
I was looking at a sonogram of some White-throated Sparrows I made and
was surprised by the center frequency point of the different birds.

Bradley's suggestion of RCKI was good especially considering the date
and location.
But the Bell's really matched to me.
The CAWA was another reasonable suggestion, but it turns out the CAWA
songbird is just too musical to be the recording.

If anyone else wants to compare the Bell's to the recording, I welcome
it.

Otherwise, I'll make Jeff play judge and jury on eBird.

Marc - I'll remember to ask for the story next time I see you :)

Cheers,

Pat
