Something we’ve never seen before, a Canada Goose is sitting on a nest in an oak tree! The nest has been used in past breeding seasons by red-tailed hawks, also once by a great horned owl family.
On 4/18/26 we noted a pair of Canada Geese in the field that has the oak tree. On 4/22 one goose was sitting on the nest, which is about 40 feet off the ground, the other goose was in the field. Every day since 4/22, there has been a Canada Goose sitting on the nest.
