Gray Flycatcher (Empidonax wrightii) (1)
- Reported Apr 28, 2026 11:41 by Linda Blue
- Elings Park, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.7349691&<ll...>,-119.7349691 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S329119189 - Media: 3 Photos
- Comments: "First reported here earlier by Hugh Ranson. Often perched on the fence surrounding the restoration plot, primarily around the southeast corner and the northeast corner. Once flew from the southeast corner south toward the large yucca. After perching multiple times in the higher brush, it flew up into the yucca, where it perched for three or four minutes.
This was a pale gray empid with two pale wingbars, a yellowish wash to the belly, a thin white eyering, a pale lore, and a long bill with an almost entirely orange lower mandible. It had a long tail with whitish outer-tail feathers."
