Weather: Rain in the morning became more of a drizzle on and off during the afternoon. Thick clouds were present for much of the day offering a few peeks at the sun here and there. Pleasant temperatures ranged from 57F to 63 and winds were strong coming mostly from the South.
Raptor Observations: A very modest flight began near 2pm (DST) and ended around 3:30pm. 53 Broad-wings, followed by a surprising 17 Sharp-shinned Hawks, 16 Turkey Vultures, 3 Red-tails, 2 Osprey, and 1 coop. Local pairs of Red-tails, Bald Eagles, and Cooper's Hawks made appearances.
Predictions: Tomorrow (Wednesday): 100% chance of rain with possible thunderstorms, mild winds from the NNE and temps in the mid-50's. Thursday: Only a 20% chance of rain with mild Westerly winds and temps in the low 50's. The better looking day of the two. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Sue Barth (<suebarth...>)
