I went to the Revere Beach Breakwater in hopes of finding Ruddy Turnstone. Immediately upon arriving, I put my binoculars up, and right in my view was THE Glaucous Gull that apparently has spent the entire winter and now into spring at the beach. If that wasn't strange enough, the entire time I walked from the breakwater to Wonderland Station (about a mile?) I kept seeing this gull. To top it off, this experience was very similar to the one I had about three weeks ago with this Glaucous Gull. At that time, one of the first birds I saw upon arrival across from Wonderland Station was, again, this gull!. I was at the beach today from 3:30-5:30
Manx Shearwater 5 south end of Revere Beach
Purple Sandpiper 9 minimum
Piping Plover 4 south end of Revere Beach
GLAUCOUS GULL 1 following me, or so it seemed, for an entire hour
