Some aren't really that rare but require visiting specialized habitat. Some of the worst misses so far include glaucous-winged gull, marbled godwit, LeConte's thrasher, golden eagle, burrowing owl, Clark's nutcracker, Williamson's sapsucker, ruddy turnstone, surfbird, all the shearwaters, and most of the alcids.
