The Sunday morning bird walk produced 45 species on April 26th. It was a slow morning with a low number of non-breeding migrants and mostly uncooperative individuals. Highlights included the activity at the Purple Martin house, Kentucky and Prothonotary Warblers, a singing and somewhat cooperative Blue-winged Warbler, Baltimore Oriole, and multiple Scarlet Tanager with one finally seen next to the Delaware Lake parking lot after the walk ended. Below is the full list of birds.
There will be a bird walk every Sunday in April and May at Ft. Harrison State Park, Indianapolis. Meet at 8am in the NE corner of Delaware Lake parking lot.
