On Wednesday the 22nd the Iowa earliest Red-eyed Vireo ever was recorded about two miles downriver from Ely Ford. (Here “downriver” is north as the Des Moines flows that way for a while!)
No other of your FOY birds were noted that day, though.
I’ve had Merlin give me false Chats before.
