We still need help with pelagic species, mountain species, a couple of
things in the Antelope Valley (such as LeConte's Thrasher), American
dipper, and recent rarities. I've been scraping eBird reports for most
of the species but people have also emailed result to me directly.
We've had pretty good coverage at many of the usual hotspots
including Harbor Regional Park, Hansen Dam, Bonelli Park, Santa Fe
Dam, Ballona Wetlands, Sand Dune Park, Sepulveda Basin, Malibu Lagoon,
Malibu Creek State Park, Hahamongna Watershed Park, Griffith Park,
Descanso Gardens, Placerita Canyon State Park, Bear Divide, the LA
Arboretum, Quail Lake, the Piute Ponds, and Apollo Park. To date,
there haven't been any reports from the the rocky breakwaters at Playa
Del Rey, Nebeker Ranch, the ag fields in the Antelope Valley, Mt.
Wilson, or the West Fork of the San Gabriel River. As I mentioned
earlier, there haven't been any reports from high elevations in the
eastern San Gabriel Mountains yet, but at least one team said they
were planning to cover some of that area this afternoon. Best wishes,
