Regarding montane species, I swept up a few early this evening but I ran out of daylight before getting some of my targets. Given that the Angeles Crest Highway is closed at about the 6000 foot level on the west, mountain birding will probably be more productive on the east side at Big Pines, Table Mountain, Blue Ridge, Grassy Hollow, Vincent Gap, and Jackson Lake.
