Two Sora were actively vocalizing this afternoon; these birds have evidently been reported for several days but never made it onto this list serve. I urge people to continue to report sightings of interest here on HMBirds as well as ebird and other groups of their choice.
The Soras were at the marshy pond east of the cul-de-sac at the end of the road in the park. Walk east from there on a paved path toward a wooden footbridge and listen for them in the reeds/pond south of the bridge.
Purple Finches continue to frequent our feeders, in the Town of Colonie near the Crossings park.
