Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jerry McWilliams

Observers: Jerry McWilliams, Julie Leonard, Katie Andersen

Visitors:
Julie Leonard and I were the sky watchers today with Katie Andersen coming
a later to assist.

Weather:
Clear early then becoming cloudy, then clearing again in mid-afternoon.
Seasonably warm with an all-day steady SSW wind

Raptor Observations:
A slow start until it warmed, then numbers of BWs increased and were fairly
steady through the day. Despite the strong south winds birds did not have
defined flight line and were scattered across a wide front, though all were
within 1/2 mile of the lake. They flew at all altitudes with some flying
almost out of binocular range.

Non-raptor Observations:
Belted Kingfisher 1, Common Loon 1, Purple Martin 4, Great Egret 2, Barn
swallow, Tree Swallow, American Crow, European Starling Mourning Dove, Rock
Pigeon, Herring and Ring-billed Gull, Brown-headed Cowbird, American Robin

Predictions:
Warm, but the WNW winds will keep any migrants south of our site.Jerry McWilliamsErie, Erie County, <Pa.jerrymcw...>
