Subject: [ia-bird] Cone Marsh - Louisa Co.
I drove up to Cone Marsh today hoping to see some shorebirds but the water level turned out to be quite high, covering almost all the desired habitat. I did find a Bairds Sandpiper and a few Pectorals in a large grassy puddle in a field, but otherwise struck out.

Question: is there a website or other resource where one can find out the water levels of this and other wetland areas? That could really help with planning best times to go.

I did get my FOY Indigo Bunting so the trip was not without its rewards, but pretty much whiffed on shorebirds.
