On my drive to Oswego, NY yesterday I had a "first" for my birding in the last 25 years. Saw a mature Bald Eagle diving down into a yard (with many trees around it), then it flew around and dove again before flying away. As I came up to the spot I could see a Golden Eagle sitting near a dead animal (cat-sized?!?) in the front yard of a home set back in the woods. At that point I was not far from the Oswego River...
