Subject: [BostonBirds] 4/19 Pectoral Sandpipers at Belle Isle, Etc.
I birded here from 9:40-1:10. The weather wasn't much of a problem, with periods of light rain and mist and several dry periods.

Great Egret 5
Snowy Egret 2
Great Blue Heron 1
Green-winged Teal 27
Bufflehead 10
Red-breasted Merganser 6
Osprey 2
American Kestrel 2 pair on their favorite perch
Pectoral Sandpiper 6 maximum; flew in at 11:00; leaving after twenty minutes
Greater Yellowlegs 18
yellowlegs sp. 3
Belted Kingfisher 1
Northern Flicker 6
Barn Swallow 3
Northern Rough-winged Swallow 1
Tree Swallow x
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1+ along Lawn Ave. (not the trail)
Hermit Thrush 2 one Park Place; one Lawn Ave.(but not the trail)
Eastern Towhee 1
White-throated Sparrow 5
Swamp Sparrow 1
Savannah Sparrow 2 in marsh right below boardwalk
Dead Canada Goose 1 near tower and even nearer that lone picnic table; on the marsh
