Don’t think I have ever seen this before:
Male Cowbird eating below tube feeder next to the first Red- winged female I have seen at my feeders. (Plenty of males even off and on in winter.) Cowbird first moved toward her and she bent away. Then he hopped up and grabbed her head feathers and held on as she turned her head against his pull and then both flew (maybe in part my coming into room into sight).
She was not a first year female, I believe. Good color under her chin at least.
