Weather:
Variably cloudy; 69-80 degrees; good visibility; winds started out
from the west, then were mostly from the WNW, 6-15 mph, gusting to
26 mph

Raptor Observations:
Eleven raptor species today. While vultures were steady all day
with a peak in the afternoon, only 4 Broad-winged Hawks were seen.

Non-raptor Observations:
Almost 1000 Blue Jays, over 90 goldfinches; Ruby-throated
Hummingbird, 2 Common Yellowthroats

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake
Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are
from the southwest.
