Hi, all! I saw a sparrow at Sweet Springs that I didn't recognize. It seemed relatively large. The color was uniform over the bird: its body was white or off-white, and all other markings were a light beige. The throat, breast, and belly were streaked with this light beige. The crown had stripes similar to the White-crowned sparrow, but in the same beige color as the breast. The bill was light grey; the legs looked pink. I didn't get a good read on the back and wings, but I think there was streaking in the same beige as the other parts. The lightness of the color was striking. The bird was in shade, at the bank of the creek near the bridge. I have not found a matching bird in the Nat Geo guide.
