In all fairness, I think this is a pair or their heirs who have been coming here for years and claiming the same nest box. They just suddenly appear by the nest box and get to work. No squabbling about the neighborhood or maybe there’s something better out back… they just get to work. Haven’t checked yet for eggs, but will in the next couple of days.

Awesome Dody. My Bluebird visits were up around Apr 1 but have been zero the last few days. The willingness to setup territory and begin nesting is strongly correlated with clear sunny mornings around here. Must be tied to warmth and the promise of insect availability. Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Everyone,

We have a pair of bluebirds carrying nesting material into one of the boxes by our house… Pretty exciting!
