Other migrating raptors include 3 RTHA, 1 RSHA, 8 BWHA, 1 SSHA, 1 TUVU, and 1 AMKE.
The GOEA today was very high up and almost snuck through as it quickly flew past overhead. Most of the other raptors today were also high up due to strong thermals. The other notable sighting today was a distant unidentified accipitrine that gave me a strong impression of an immature AGOS.
A local BWHA seems to have set up shop near the hawk watch. I spotted one take off while walking on the trail and saw and heard it a few times later throughout the day.
13 DCCO today, one flock of 2 and one of 11. Decent finch numbers today, with multiple small flocks for a total of 9 PUFI and 27 AGOL. Also 2 RWSW, 3 BARS, 3 AMRO, and 2 YRWA.
Predictions: Partly cloudy with SW/WSW winds starting low in the morning and increasing throughout the day. SW and WSW wind can be hard to predict but we could see a modest flight in the afternoon. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Thomas Filip () Tussey Mountain Hawk Watch information may be found at: tusseymountainspringhawkwatch.org/
